Interview Tips
 
Be prepared!
  • Know the name of the company, the person who will interview you and their job title.
  • Map out your route and make sure you know how to get to the company prior to the day of the interview.
  • Don’t be late! It’s typically best to arrive 10 minutes early.
 
Dress appropriately for the job you are interviewing for.
  • Business casual works for most positions in the manufacturing industry.
  • No flip flops or open-toed shoes.
 
Keep the chat to a minimum. Be prepared for questions such as:
  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Why should we hire you?
  • Describe a difficult work situation/project and how you overcame it.
  • Of all your previous positions, which was the most/least rewarding and why?
 
You never get a second chance to make a first impression!
  • Smile
  • Give a firm handshake.
  • Eye contact without glaring is showing your confidence.
  • Thank the interviewer for their time before leaving.
